551 Horai ・・・Blog of a Hotel in Uehommachi

Greetings from Hotel International House Osaka. This is Mathew and I am here to introduce you to another one of my favorite places to eat in Japan called 551 Horai. When traveling to Japan, it is my suggestion to try as much delicious food as you possibly can before you need go back home again. There are so many restaurants that it is impossible to sit down at every restaurant and see what great tastes they have to offer. So, todays suggestion isn’t necessarily a restaurant, but still serves some of the best food I have ever tasted, and I find myself time and time again going back here to get food. While there are certain 551 Horai that let you sit down and eat, the main attraction isn’t the meals that you eat. The main thing that is wonderful about these places are there meat buns.

These meat buns are one of the most delicious things I have ever had the pleasure of eating. They are rather quite large, and yet I still find myself wanting more even after I have already eaten a few. The bun part is incredibly soft, and it takes almost no effort to bite into. The inside is juicy and has a unique taste that I can’t find in other meat buns. They even come with small little packets of spicy mustard, with each one being the perfect amount of mustard for each meat bun. But whether you eat it with mustard, or just eat it on its own, you are in for a delicious ride that is definitely worth your time. They even just sell them in sets of 1 or 2, so if you want a quick snack, this is the perfect place for you.

The nearest 551 Horai to our hotel is located in the Kintetsu station that is a 10 minute walk from our hotel.
